The headphones are great overall. The weight is good, but the sound quality is a bit lacking. However, the noise cancellation is absolutely incredible. I would generally recommend them, but if you use them while moving or running at a light pace, you might hear some annoying squeaking sounds from the ear pads. I'm writing this as a user who has experienced this issue quite often. On a positive note, Bose customer service is excellent; they were very attentive and helpful with my concerns. Just so you know, this seems to be a common issue with these headphones.

Why did you not just test the Bose for calls? I don't think it's fair to say you have used the 700s which are much older and they weren't good, so you just didn't bother. Maybe they are the same but maybe they are different, surely it would have only taken a couple of mins to test them.

I never been a big fan of a 100% ANC function.... I want some sounds to come through IF im outside walking in traffic and so on. But i do care about great sound quality. Im going with the B&W headphones over the Bose ones!

On my second pair of px7s2e, both having connection issues after a few months, tried to do all the basic updates, and factory reset and still had issues, they look and sound great but will be switching to Bose

I just picked some up too.. seems like some of the paint on the midsole rubbed off near the heel on one.. not sure how. hope they're still wearable.
